About Me

My photo
Hello! I am Bethany, a mom of 4 beautiful children, a owner of a dog, and married to a miner/hunter. (Camo is a popular color in our home). We recently relocated to the UP of Michigan from Juneau,Alaska...a huge adjustment. I have a passion for photography and documenting our journey through life. But, most of the time Im busy with my kids, hiding in the bathroom for peace and quiet, or trying to find my dog because he runs away all the time. Welcome to our world...always full of adventure.

OUR SUMMER DAYS

SUMMER IN JUNEAU...most of the days are rainny. But, there are a few inbetween that you can call summer. Here are some from our past weeks.
In the Derby, you didn't hear much about it because we didn't do good. Trey was the only one in 3 days that caught a salmon that weighed 10.3oz. It poored rain all day Saturday and our boat wasn't working well. Saturday morning, we pulled our crab pot and found a king crab. It was too small...just our luck.
But, they are pretty cool. I have never caught a king crab. I really wanted to keep it.

Andy, don't look so excited!!!

Morgan spent the day with us and was pretty good. She gets kinda bored on the long days. Then the next weekend, we braved bringing Mattie with us! It wasn't easy. She cries ALOT. It was kinda funny when she found the bait fish and packed it around.

Trey Fishin.

Sea Lions are one of my favorite things about going out on the Alaskan waters. They have such personalities.

A couple days later, we made our way down to the beach with some friends for a bbq. This is Morgans best friend. Her name is Ayanna Pierce. They play so well together.

Trey was running around with his scout buddies that he almost forgot to roast his hotdogs. Thats a boy for ya.

Mattie loved the beach. I couldn't keep the sand out of her mouth. And everytime I turned around she was eating off of someone else's plate.

Two days ago, the sun was shinning and it got into the 70's. It was probably the last day of summer. I bought a 3 dollar swimming pool at Walmart and set it up in the front yard. The kids loved playing in the water. This was Matties first experience with an outside pool. She isn't afraid of anything. Morgan is starting to get braver in the water.

My little Mattie Lynn...growing so fast. She is such a joy.

We also tolk a couple hours out of the day and went to Rotary Park with Lela and Rachael's family. The kids had a lot of fun too. We were pretty exhausted by the end of the day.
