This year at the church, they had a lu auh for the christmas party. I know, it is kinda odd, but considering we have a lot of Tongans in our ward, it is actually quite appropriate for a party. There was great food. As for myself, I brought macaroni salad and teriyaki chicken. I knew there would be alot of people so I made a 5 gallon bucket full of macaroni salad and quite a bit of teriyaki chicken. Sure enough, there was a lot of people and entertainment to come.
Morgan got into the spirit. I think she is ready for hawaii. The dancing part anyway. She loves to dance and look pretty.
Mattie on the other hand, was quite a handful. She is so busy...This was actually the only time she sat still and it was because there was food infront of her. I love her to pieces but I really think this will be my last child...It's too much!
Trey invited Chris to come along to the party. I think Chris is such a good kid, don't get me wrong, but Trey gets easily distracted and off task with friends to gab with. I don't know where he was half the time. And then when I got up to look for him, he was outside throwing snowballs! I mean, come on...were here for a lu auh,
The entertainment was the second hour of the program where there where all different types of dances from all the Islands. Morgan did a traditional Hawaiian dance and was so proud. Just look at her smile!
Did I forget to mention she didn't know the dance and just jumped into the group the last 5 minutes. Yeah, she really wanted to do it and be on that stage. I think she might take after me a little.
She was actually doing really well for not knowing a single thing!
Good thing she had someone to watch infront of her.
Here are some very good friends of mine. I owe my survival to my friends in Juneau. Even though this isn't all of them, they all are special, very special.
Amber Tingey is one of my best buds. We hang out about once a week and our kids get to play together. She is moving in June as her husband is going to Dental School in California. Seems like a trend to my fellow bloggers.
The Bishop serving up the drink. It was a combination of crushed pinapple, oranges, and juices! It was purfect for the occasion.
My macaroni Salad! It turned out really good.
Aloha! Thanks for great times Juneau 3rd Ward
