WORDS OF WISDOM

I have a grandma that I don't see very often or hear from often. This grandma is Grandma Betty Lloyd, my dads mom. I wish we were closer because as a kid, she was a cool grandma. She was always crafty, adventurous, taught us new songs we have never heard of, and of course we can't forget The rubbermen stories. (She started writing a children's book called the rubber men and I don't think it ever got finished)

Over the years, we have lost touch. I don't even know if she has a phone or where she is. I know she is in Utah somewhere, but where? I don't know. But something very interesting happened to me today. I have this picture hanging on the wall that she gave me 5 years ago. She painted and drew this. It is one of her many talents.

But what was amazing is I flipped it over and discovered this.

WORDS OF WISDOM. HERE IS WHAT SHE WROTE.

To Bethany:

As you travel down this road of life

you'll experience hardships and strife

you'll come to many cross-roads

That will take you on your way

Some will lead to happiness-

Some hard to say.

A lifetimes a long time for living

But as short as can be

when your happy.

So make your CHOICES carefully

look into eternity

the choices you make TODAY

can carry you a long way.

What a special gift! I love the part where it says "You decide your destiny". It makes me think. After all is said and done, you are ultimately creating your legacy. Just like she has. She really is a very talented and gifted woman and I thank her for this gift.
