Life is absolutely amazing. For the last 3 months I have seen nothing but chunks of ice and snow mountains. Now for 10 days straight, it has been paradise. You almost have this feeling that it isn't real but just a really good dream you don't want to wake up from.
No joke! 70 degrees today and 2 weeks ago,34 degrees...more than double. Neighbors and people you have never met are all of a sudden saying hi to you with big smiles on their faces. It's almost like our little town of Juneau is Pleasantville.
So on Day 10 of Sunshine, I loaded up picnic supplies and beach supplies. This beach is located at the end of the road (25 miles). I knew I wouldn't be back in time to wake Andy up from working nights, so I snuck in and set his alarm.
We met Brooks and her kids out there which turned out to be a very pleasant visit. Plus, she had all the cool toys like the kites and bubbles, and the food. (Ok, so she was very prepared) and me not as much. However, thanks to her, I got a chance to take some rad pictures.

I love the one with the kite and the snow capped mountains. So beautiful! Soak up the sun while you can...that's what we tell ourselves here every day!!
I almost laughed out loud that you used the word "rad". I haven't heard that one in a while. But seriously the weather has been so nice. I'm loving it too.
I noticed that everyone is still wearing coats. Interesting look at the grass lands at the storm surge level.
Just look at those adorable kids. Oh look, one of them is mine ;)
