Hello! I am Bethany, a mom of 4 beautiful children, a owner of a dog, and married to a miner/hunter. (Camo is a popular color in our home). We recently relocated to the UP of Michigan from Juneau,Alaska...a huge adjustment. I have a passion for photography and documenting our journey through life. ITS HARD TO SAY GOODBYE ISN'T IT???

The rooster has gone. Are we sad??

Oh, maybe I should say this also...he went back to his owners. They took a trip to Florida and we had the rooster for about 10 days. It was interesting to say the least. Every morning the rooster would wake up when the lights came on, and do the "cock-a-doo-dul-doooo". After a few days, I got use to the alarm. It wasn't so bad. I felt like I was on a farm or something.
One exciting momment was when Mattie was walking with an apple in her hand and the rooster flew up, trying to steal it from her. Kinda scary, but funny at the same time.

By the time it was time for him to go home, I think we were ready too. I would love to have chickens...just outside.
