I am impressed with the fieldtrips the kids in the Juneau school district get to experience. They are filled with outdoor activities and some very special trips that I never did. For instance, Treys class went on a 4 1/2 mile hike to a glacier. And Morgans kindergarten class went on a Whale watching Cruise. Here are some pictures from her class trip.
Waiting for the bus on a beautiful Juneau day.
the boat we rode on
inside the boat we had maps and a great view in all directions.
I love being out on the water. This is typical with whale watching boats, to have one following close by. They radio to each other where the whales are.
Morgan tried to spot whales with binoculars.
We ventured out onto the deck where it was windy. Morgan thought it was funny how the wind was pushing her back.

(I know, I spelled Kindergarten wrong...)
And you are probably wondering where the whales are? Well, we found sea lions floating on a bowie and a pod of killer whales.
See what I mean, very unique fieldtrips here.
