About Me

My photo
Hello! I am Bethany, a mom of 4 beautiful children, a owner of a dog, and married to a miner/hunter. (Camo is a popular color in our home). We recently relocated to the UP of Michigan from Juneau,Alaska...a huge adjustment. I have a passion for photography and documenting our journey through life. But, most of the time Im busy with my kids, hiding in the bathroom for peace and quiet, or trying to find my dog because he runs away all the time. Welcome to our world...always full of adventure.

CHRISTMAS EVE TRADITION

I watched a History Channel Special on the History of Christmas. At the conclusion of the show I learned how  The American Traditions of Christmas came to be. I highly recommend renting it from Netflix or your local store because of the fact, you will have a realization that the celebration of Christmas is... all about Tradition.

No matter how you celebrate it, it's important to keep the tradition you share alive in your family.

One tradition in my family (the Lloyds side) is to open 1 present on Christmas Eve. It is always pajamas. That way, you wake up in the morning in new clothes for your Christmas celebration. The kids are the most excited about this present because it sets the tone for Christmas morning. They then go along there merry way to their warm beds...ahhhhh. (that's my favorite part. JK)
Morgan was the first to go this year after a game of inny, minny, minney, mo.

Then Mattie who waited very patiently (which is hard for her). She was so excited about her Froggy pjs.

Then Colton went. Trey was last. I bought Mens smalls for him because the kids XL looked really fat.

Yes, I picked out my own.

Merry Christmas Eve...
