*a ward is a church family

The meaning of photography is "the study of light." It's not about the subject, it's about how...the light falls on your subject. How useful of a tool it is when you "see the light". It's the luminosity of the color and the aim of the light that changes the feel of the image.
I had the opportunity a couple weeks ago to photograph this family I know from the *Ward. I set up my studio in what we called "The Blue Room".
...so I anxiously waited for the family to arrive. I maped out some poses, excitement was in the air, and soon the doorbell rang. They walked in looking fabulous, all in black and white. Well, my background was all black. (*black dog on black rug concept). Through the camera lens and the lights, it looked like this.
A dads love for his little girl...

I think my studio will be focused more artistic and focusing on the subject, more than the background. It shows personality...or it could show love...
I loved the fun, yet peaceful feeling that came out in the photographs. The contrast makes me focus on the expression more.
