About Me

My photo
Hello! I am Bethany, a mom of 4 beautiful children, a owner of a dog, and married to a miner/hunter. (Camo is a popular color in our home). We recently relocated to the UP of Michigan from Juneau,Alaska...a huge adjustment. I have a passion for photography and documenting our journey through life. But, most of the time Im busy with my kids, hiding in the bathroom for peace and quiet, or trying to find my dog because he runs away all the time. Welcome to our world...always full of adventure.

WHY I AM A REPUBLICAN

OUR VOTE IS THE MCCAIN/PALIN TICKET!!
GO USA...WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PROUD!!

SOMETIMES IN YOUR LIFE, IT IS HARD TO STAND FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE. I KNOW THIS FROM EXPERIENCE, BUT, DO YOU BELIEVE IT IS IMPORTANT TO STAND FOR SOMETHING?

I BELIEVE IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. I HAVE BEEN WATCHING AND WAITING FOR THIS PRESIDENTAL ELECTION TO END. I AM NOT AN UNDECIDED VOTER BECAUSE I KNOW WHAT I STAND FOR. I AM A REPUBLICAN AND I WILL NEVER CHANGE MY VALUES.

I was born and raised in a GREAT family that taught me values. I value my education and earned my grades. I learned how to WORK and the importance of it. I learned the importance of FAMILY. I especially learned the IMPORTANCE of FREEDOM...sometimes we have to really disect words.

NOW, WHAT IS FREEDOM?
When your a teenager, you think freedom is being able to make your own choices when you want to. Not having to listen to your parents and staying out all night if you want to. But, then there are always consequences in life, wether it is immidiate or further down the road.

There is also freedom with our laws...things we live by everyday and have. Some of our freedoms we don't understand we have...until they are taken away. Like, THE RIGHT TO BARE ARMS...ok, I understand, some of us have no use for this and think guns are in the wrong hands most of the time. MY QUESTION IS: WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU COULD NOT PROTECT YOURSELF?? YOUR OWN LIFE? BECAUSE, THE BAD GUYS HAD THE WEAPONS AND YOU DIDN'T? No way, No how am I going to rely on the government to protect me in a time of crisis. The democrats want this and taking the guns away is NOT the answer.

Here is something interesting:

'A government big enough to give you everything you want,
is strong enough to take everything you have.' -Thomas Jefferson

Which brings me to OBAMA...Yes, he is a very smooth talker and seems to stroke your inner conciance to make it seem like, everything he says will happen because He has so much experience? What is experience? He says he can give you everything, but you have to remember, not everyone wants the same thing and I really don't know who he is talking to...
You really don't want the government to take over the health care system...trust me.

HERE IS AN EXAMPLE. When I worked at Newmont, the job had a clinic for the employees. In one way, it was great...all you paid was 7.00 a visit. But in another way, you didn't want to go in there because the doctors were run down, they knew no matter what, they would keep there clients and get paid, and so you didn't get excellent health care with doctors that cared. Sure, you would get seen and get the problem solved, but there was always a full waiting room and a lot of sick people. Can you imagine if the government ran the healthcare system? You would get put on waiting lists, not have a choice where you can go, and Who knows... how far will it go.

All you undecided voters, think about how each one could change YOUR life, right now. Will our country really be protected from terrorists that don't negotiate? Will our taxes go towards building our economy, or helping those that don't help themselves?? And last, will our children learn our christian beliefs and the value of family? The democrats already tried to take the pledge of allegance out of schools, just think if Obama gets it...
