Mattie was quite, but very observant. She held tight to her bucket, and was very determined to walk the whole way.
I don't know what she planned on doing at this house. Maybe exchanging buckets?? Or maybe she just wants them to fill hers up. She was the cutest little kitten.
One stop along the way, they tolk a picture for me on our adventure. Ok, now you see the person behind the camera...yes, I am dressed in a costume. I'm a prisoner from the phych ward..Doesn't that fit my personality.Now onto the Trunk-or-Treat!!!!

Dad and Mattie exploring all the candy options. I don't think Mattie really realized what was actually getting put into the buckets. So, at the end of the night, I reached in and pulled out a sucker to had to her. She got so excited and since then, I have seen her sneaking into the bucket of candy...even HIDING! She caught on really fast.
What a great halloween! This is what a family is all about and creating memmories that last a lifetime. It was a lot of work to prepare for a fun event, but in the end, it leaves a bucket full of treats.
Preparing for the Trunk-or Treat was a blast! I was incharge of the chili cook-off booth at the Trunk-or-Treat. I got there at 2pm and set it up so it would be ready at 6pm.For you that don't know what a TRUNK-OR-TREAT- IS, it's where everyone goes, parks their vehicles, decorates their trunks and hands out candy from their vehicle.
I have never attended a trunk-or-treat so I didn't really know what to expect...as I wen't to pull into the parking lot at 6pm, the lot was so full, people were parking on the road! There must have been 150 people there! I was so anxious to get to my booth and hand out candy. However, other people got there before me and started dropping their chili off.
Now this would be fine, if I would have planned it this way, but the plan was "serve out of the back of your vehicle" Now, my booth, had about 50 people in line to try the chili. IT TURNED A DIFFERENT DIRECTION THAN PLANNED, BUT WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS, YOU MAKE LEMONADE. So, it was a hit! I was very pleased.

Where was the Trunk or treat? I had no clue we even had one in town.
it looks like you had some fun adventures on halloween! i love the costumes! cristophers costume was really freaky. i will have to send you the peakcock costume for mattie next year, as long as you send it back so lauren can wear it the year after. i must say that i bet mattie, morgan and trey were the cutest kids in alaska on halloween. that chili stand looked really cool and spooky too.
Your kids looked so cutet for halloween, I loved the kitty cat, especially! And look how festive you are, dressing up! This year I totally wimped out and didn't dress up.
I can't beleive how many people turned out for the trunk or treat- that is awesome- way to go.
