My wonderful parents lives in Washington DC (well the Virginia side). This will be my 5th time going and my second time going in October. I love the month of October in DC because it is the famous "Changing of the Colors" were all the trees show there arrays of colors. It is beautiful and you know me, to get my own photos of this is getting my blood pumping!
Are you in awe? This is what it is like...surrounded by history. This picture is Shenandoah National Parkway and Skyline drive, Virginia (no, I did not take these pictures, I found them online). My dad said he is taking us here because it is SOOO COOL.
I am getting excited! I get to hang out with sisters. I love going down to the mall and seeing the museums and all the crazy politic people. Gettysburg is only 1.5 hours from my moms house so I'm thinking we are going there.
The best thing is that I will not have children with me and no responsibilities (I love my kids though). AND my mom is going to cook for me:)
I love my hunting trips and our agreement. Some year I would love to go with a friend, but honestly, I can't wait to hang out with my sisters who I haven't seen in years. The estrogen is flowing already just thinking about it.
Maybe one year, I could take a guest. Any takers?

I think that sounds like a very fair exchange! My very favorite thing about living here in the east is the falls. they are beautiful. And out of all our excursions out here, gettysburg has been my favorite. It is so beautiful there, and so full of history. We did the audio tour, where you put a cd in your car and it guides you around gettysburg. there were some places to get out and do a hike, but we had Claire, a toddler at the time, so we didn't do them, though I really wish we could of. Have a great trip!

Sounds like a fun trip. I was going to ask if you were taking any kids, but then you answered it. I've never been to that part of the country. It sounds beautiful and exciting.
Also, I got your facebook comment and I'll be out tomorrow morning after I drop Carly off at school. So I can come by around 8:45. Or if that's too early, I can do a few other errands and drop by around 9:45. I'll go for the 8 time unless I hear from you.
