HALLOWEEN 2010

Once the temperature starts to drop here, and we loose more daylight hours, I know it is getting closer to Halloween. Halloween was on a Sunday this year--which ment a 4 day Halloween weekend. Oh joy,4 days to collect candy by the bucket full and have children so hiped up on sugar. Sounds very stressful to me. I mean come on, that is alot of candy and alot of sugar....in my children...in 1840 square foot of living space.

Mattie was Dora the Explorer. I preplanned it. We were going to dye her hair black and wear colorful clothes. Here she is before the transformation.

Here she is after. When we got to the trunk-or-treat however, no one knew who she was. I felt so bad because she was excited about being dora...and no one knew who she was. Someone actually thought she was a prisoner. (*ahhhh....) I guess I should have done it a little better.

Colton hung out at home before the big trunk-or-treat. He is growing...like they all do. I wish he would just stop growing.

Mmmm...fresh homemade rolls for dinner. I love this that I can rise them on the fireplace. My whole house started to smell like bread. The smell of bread is something I love. My mom use to wake up in the morning and the smell of breakfast cooking would pull me out of bed. It was so comforting to wake up to that smell.

Ok, so Trey was a hairy gobblin. Would you be scared.?
