The kids and I attended the annual Trunk-or-Treat at the LDS church Friday before Halloween. Mattie was Dora, Morgan was Hannah Montana, Trey was a Hairy Gobblin, Colton was a puppy, and I was (again) an escape prisoner from the Psychiatric ward.
I had bought this huge party tent from Sears about a month before because it was on clearance. I couldn't pass it up for 99.00. This was an opportunity for me to put it to use. I arrived 2 hours early to set it up. I looked at the box and knew, there was NO WAY in heaven that I was going to put this up by myself. So, I ran into the church building and all the missionaries were getting out of a meeting...so I asked them if they could do me some service.
It took 8 grown men to put it up....8. They got it put together in about 1 hour and I was so grateful. I wouldn't have been able to do it.
What a team. I'm glad they could do service for me.
Trey helped out with Colton. He is such a good big brother.
Morgan just dropped her coat in the water. She wasn't very happy about it.
Colton rode in the stroller a good portion of the night.
Our trunk-or-treat here in Juneau is very popular. There is the chili cook-off (which is pretty much a potluck) and a very safe place.
Good times. Good times.
