BLACK, WHITE, AND GRAY
Winter is full of color. 3 different colors: black, white, and gray. You look out and see cloudy, yukky, dark days with little to no light. When photographing this type of weather, why not focus on those colors? You have to realize your not going to have the pretty green grass all year round, it's just not going to happen. Winter is dark and cold colors, and with that said, why not photograph it how it is.
Heres my take on it.
It's winter...in all it's glory. Printing them in black and white shows time. You can always look back and say "yeah, you remember that winter of 2011"...."that was one crazy winter....
