About Me

My photo
Hello! I am Bethany, a mom of 4 beautiful children, a owner of a dog, and married to a miner/hunter. (Camo is a popular color in our home). We recently relocated to the UP of Michigan from Juneau,Alaska...a huge adjustment. I have a passion for photography and documenting our journey through life. But, most of the time Im busy with my kids, hiding in the bathroom for peace and quiet, or trying to find my dog because he runs away all the time. Welcome to our world...always full of adventure.

Days of a Hunting Widow

I call these the "Days of a Hunting Widow" (with the theme song from "Days of our Lives" soap opera). Mattie up and Dressed to go outside and play at 8am.

And camping out on the couch for the night...watching movies.

Painting the kitchen day 2 went well. Here are the colors.I really think the brand has something to do with the quality. It goes on so nice and bright. It is looking good. Alot of taping, painting all the edges and putting the 2nd coat on. It's amazing how after doing all the steps, it soon starts to turn into a masterpiece...so here is a LITTLE piece of my masterpiece.

My kitchen so far. The rest will be done in the next couple days. I'm taking it slow now.

Yeah I agree with Ashleigh. The yellow is really a good color. My yellow is a little overbearing and I am changing it.

The paint looks great.
Now that I think of all the things us hunter wives do while our husbands are out on their hunts, I totally understand you "to do" post a few days ago. And I especially see where you're coming from since Andy is doing a moose and sheep hunt in about 5 weeks. (I sure hope he gets a sheep. They are SO tasty.)
As Shawn's moose hunt gets closer, I'm starting to form my own "hunter's wife list to do". Hopefully September will be a very productive month for me too.
